Community Involvement
Local 214 has taken an active interest in community activities. We are a sponsor of the Michigan Special Olympics. We also have regularly sponsored local community activities such as the City of Sterling Heights Community Involvement Team, the City of Detroit Community Involvement Team, the Kent County Road Commission Activity Team, United Way, Adopt-A-House programs, Jerry’s Kids (Muscular Dystrophy), and food relief programs across the state.
We will continue to work with the community groups and church organizations to improve the community for both the members and residents.
